Success

Holy time warp, Batman. Here we are, already ankle deep into 2014. This year has started with promise for me and mine, and I hope for the trend to continue. I've got success and joy on my mind. A concentrated desire to reach goals that so far have been elusive. This is the year I want to publish my books. They've been a constant companion to my days, a work in progress for the past five years - even longer for a couple of them. It is time to wrap them up!

Leading up to the publishing of my books, I plan to write on this blog. A way to work through my thoughts, trials, anxieties and triumphs I encounter along the way. If you stumble upon this blog and it holds your interest for whatever reason, whether you are a fellow writer interested in the self publishing journey or a romance reader, welcome to you! Feel free to share your own blog or links to your own books in the comments. I'm an avid reader of many genres and am always looking for the next book to read. I also love to interact with other writers.

To wrap this up I'm sharing the 21 Suggestions for Success by H. Jackson Brown Jr. infographic that you might have already seen. It has certainly made its rounds on Pinterest and Facebook. These words have resonated deeply with me. I even pinned a hard copy to my writing board. The list speaks to the very heart of what I feel a successful life is about - connection, relationships, kindness, truth, honesty, motivation, hard work. Attributes that I also think are at the core of a good romance novel. This is the good stuff of life. How optimism and hard work can combine to get people through to their happy endings.
